Will VoiceAssist Work on My System?
Every setup is different—which makes developing plugins that work for everyone a real challenge. We always aim to support as many users as possible, but we can’t guarantee that VoiceAssist will work on every machine right from day one.
To help you check if your setup is compatible, here’s a quick overview of the current system requirements
You Can Use VoiceAssist If...
On Mac (all tiers — Basic, Standard, Advanced) On Windows — VoiceAssist Basic
- You’re using an Apple Silicon Mac (M1, M2, M3, M4 or newer)
- You’re running macOS 12 or higher
- You have at least 16 GB of RAM
- You’re on a 64-bit system
- You’re using Windows 10 (version 1909 or higher)
- You have an Intel i5 or equivalent AMD processor
- You have at least 16 GB of RAM
- No dedicated GPU required — runs on CPU

Most desktop PCs with gaming or workstation GPUs meet this requirement. Many office or entry-level laptops do not. Not sure if you meet the GPU requirement? Check your graphics hardware in:Important for Windows users on Standard & Advanced: VoiceAssist Standard and Advanced require a dedicated graphics card. Integrated graphics (e.g. Intel UHD, Intel Iris Xe) are not supported. If your system only uses built-in graphics from the CPU, VoiceAssist Standard/Advanced may not run correctly. VoiceAssist Basic does not require a dedicated GPU and will work on systems with integrated graphics.

Supported DAWs
VoiceAssist currently supports the following workflows: ARA-compatible DAWs:
- Pro Tools (version 2024.10 or later) — ARA and AudioSuite
- LUNA
- Studio One
- Reaper
- Cubase
- Nuendo
- Works with any DAW that supports AU, VST3, or AAX — no ARA required. Route audio through VoiceAssist in real time and print the result back into your session.
Other ARA-compatible DAWs may also work. We recommend testing with the free trial to confirm performance in your specific setup.
What If My DAW Doesn’t Support ARA?
Standalone Application
Import your recording into the VoiceAssist standalone app, process it with the same core features — noise reduction, frequency recovery, levelling, de-essing and de-breathing — and export the result back into your DAW or video editing software.
Transfer Mode
Prefer to stay inside your DAW? Transfer Mode lets you use VoiceAssist directly within non-ARA DAWs like Ableton Live or FL Studio. No export/reimport needed — just transfer the audio, process it, and it’s done.
Conclusion
- If your PC or Mac meets the hardware requirements, and you’re using a supported DAW, VoiceAssist should run smoothly.
- If your DAW doesn’t support ARA, you can still use the Transfer-Mode or the Standalone version.
- If your system does not meet the specs (especially on Windows without a dedicated GPU), VoiceAssist may not function properly.
