A buying guide for people who don't want to overpay — or undershoot.
VoiceAssist now comes in three versions. They all share the same audio engine and the same interface. The difference is how many modules you get access to.
This guide helps you figure out which one fits your work. No upselling, no "most popular" badges. Just the facts.
If you don't want to read the whole article:
Volume leveling only. You talk into a mic and want consistent levels. That's it.
Leveling + breath removal + de-essing + smart gating. You produce content and want your vocals cleaned up properly.
Everything above + spectral denoising, de-reverb, frequency restoration, low end recovery. You work in post-production or mixing and need the full toolkit.

You're a podcaster, streamer, or content creator who records spoken word. Your main problem is inconsistent volume — some parts are loud, others are quiet, and you've been manually riding faders or stacking compressors.
Basic handles that. Set a LUFS target, run VoiceAssist, edit the automation if something needs tweaking. Done in minutes instead of an hour.
You probably don't need breath removal or de-essing if your recording setup is decent. And if it turns out you do? The 14-day trial lets you test everything, and upgrading only costs the price difference.
You're a music producer, vocal editor, or podcast producer who handles multiple speakers or vocalists regularly. You're spending real time on breath editing, de-essing, and cleaning up pauses between sentences.
Standard automates those four tasks — leveling, gating, breath removal, de-essing — with AI detection that actually understands where speech starts and stops. Every detected segment is editable. You can move boundaries, adjust gain, or delete segments you disagree with.
If you already own DynAssist: claim VoiceAssist Standard for free on our website. Your DynAssist license stays active — old projects keep working.
You work in post-production, film/TV dialogue editing, or professional mixing. You deal with recordings from different locations, different mic setups, different rooms. You need denoising that doesn't destroy the voice. You need de-reverb. You need to fix low end that was lost to a bad mic angle.
Advanced is the full toolkit: six modules covering the entire vocal cleanup chain from noise removal to final leveling. The Clean module has a delta monitor — you can hear exactly what's being removed, which matters when you're working on broadcast or film delivery.
The standalone app is useful for video editors who don't work in a DAW. Drag in a file, process, export.
“Noise reduction, gating, dynamics, breath and sibilance control. Any one of these in an ARA plug-in would be useful, but the fact that they're all in a single one makes VoiceAssist indispensable.”

Basic and Standard: no. Advanced on Windows: yes — a dedicated NVIDIA or AMD card with at least 4GB VRAM. On Mac, all versions require Apple Silicon (M1 or later).
Does it work in my DAW?
ARA: Pro Tools, Cubase, Nuendo, Studio One, Luna, Reaper, Logic Pro. Transfer Mode works in any DAW that loads VST3/AU/AAX.
Can I try before I buy?
Every version includes a 14-day trial. Basic and Standard trials unlock all Advanced features so you can compare.
What happened to DynAssist?
DynAssist and DynAssist Lite will be removed from the store on April 30. If you own DynAssist, you can claim VoiceAssist Standard for free on our website. Your existing DynAssist license stays active and the plugin keeps working — no projects break, nothing gets replaced.
